Grayson has a highly trained police force that is committed to the protection of our citizens, commuters and visitors. In addition to Chief Ginter, staffing consists of 9 officers. All of our police officers are certified and trained through a minimum 16 week Basic state academy with each receiving a minimum 40-hour annual re-certification of training.

Each police officer performs duties that encompass nearly every facet of law enforcement including, but not limited to crime prevention, investigation of crimes and vehicle accidents, traffic speed enforcement, property security and disturbances/threats to the public peace.

In 2010, your police dept. answered over 5000 complaints of various types from the public, investigated over 500 accidents and 300 crimes and arrested more than 50 intoxicated drivers from our streets. Our police cruisers logged more than 90,000 miles patrolling our streets for our safety.
